a semisolidified mass, as of blood or lymph; called also coagulum.
coagulate. See also clotting.
blood clot
one in the bloodstream formed of an aggregation of blood factors, primarily platelets, and fibrin with entrapment of cellular elements; see also thrombus. Some authorities differentiate thrombus formation from simple coagulation or clot formation. Called also cruor.
