Raymond-Cestan syndrome (ra-maw´ ses-tah´) a syndrome due to obstruction of twigs of the basilar artery causing lesions of the pontine region; it is characterized by quadriplegia, anesthesia, and nystagmus. Called also Cestan-Raymond syndrome and pontine syndrome.
