tremor
(tremĀ“әr)
an involuntary trembling of the body or limbs; these are often associated with Parkinson disease, cerebral palsy, hyperthyroidism, and withdrawal from narcotics or alcohol. Tremors also develop as a result of the aging process or from a more temporary condition such
as insulin shock or heavy metal poisoning, and may occur with a high fever from an infection. Those of psychological origin
can take a variety of forms, some minor and some serious; violent, uncontrollable trembling is sometimes seen with a severe
mental disorder.
