ulceroglandular tularemia the most common form of tularemia in humans, beginning as a painful, swollen, erythematous papule at the point of inoculation with Francisella tularensis; it later becomes pustular and then ruptures to form a shallow ulcer. Mild, generalized lymphadenopathy, enlargement of the liver and spleen, and pneumonia may be associated.
