ureterosigmoidostomy (u-re″tәr-o-sig″moi-dosītә-me) urinary diversion with anastomosis of one or both ureters to the sigmoid colon, which avoids the need for an appliance. The urine liquefies the feces, which can cause difficulties in some patients.
