monster (monĀ“stәr) a term formerly used to denote a fetus or infant with such pronounced developmental anomalies as to be grotesque and usually nonviable. More appropriate terms are congenitally deformed, malformed, or abnormal fetus, especially when discussing these individuals with loved ones.
