chronic inflammation of the skin of the extremities, leading to atrophy.
a condition seen late in the course of Lyme disease, consisting of a diffuse, chronic skin disease usually confined to the limbs. It is seen mainly in women in Europe; characteristics
include an initial phase of erythema, edema, and itching, followed by sclerosis and atrophy.
