pyoderma (pi″o-durĀ“mә)   any purulent skin disease.
 

chancriform pyoderma  an eroded, ulcerated, nodular, solitary lesion with a rolled edge, usually on the face but sometimes elsewhere; it closely resembles a syphilitic chancre, is often associated with regional lymphadenopathy, and involutes and heals with scarring.

pyoderma faciale  an acute, localized skin disease of the face, seen almost exclusively in girls and young women; it is usually in the absence of acne and is characterized by intense erythema, abscesses, cysts, and sinus tracts between deep-seated lesions. If untreated, it may heal to leave severe scarring.

pyoderma gangrenosum  a type of rapidly evolving cutaneous ulcer with an undermined border, seen as a complication of ulcerative colitis and other wasting diseases.
