cul-de-sac (kul″dә-sakĀ“)   a pouch or tubular cavity closed at one end; called also caecum.
 

conjunctival cul-de-sac  the fold formed by the junction of the palpebral and the ocular conjunctiva; called also fornix of conjunctiva.

Douglas cul-de-sac  a sac or recess formed by a fold of the peritoneum dipping down between the rectum and the uterus; called also rectouterine pouch.
