What this drug is used for

Nizoral A-D shampoo controls the flaking, scaling, and itching associated with dandruff.

How should you take this medication?

Wet hair thoroughly, apply shampoo, lather generously, rinse thoroughly, then repeat. For use by adults and children over 12. For children under 12, check with your doctor.

* ADULTS

Use every 3 to 4 days for up to 8 weeks. Then use only as needed to control dandruff.

* STORAGE

Stored at room temperature away from sunlight. Do not freeze.

Do not take this medication if...

Do not use Nizoral A-D if your scalp is cracked or inflamed. Avoid the product if you are allergic to any of its ingredients.

Special warnings about this medication

Do not get Nizoral A-D shampoo in your eyes. If it does get into your eyes, rinse them thoroughly with water.

Stop using this product if it causes a rash or your dandruff fails to improve in 2 to 4 weeks. If you are pregnant or nursing a baby, check with your doctor before using.

If Nizoral A-D shampoo is accidentally swallowed, seek medical attention or call a Poison Control Center immediately.
